Logitec XY Technique iPhone/Ipod Microphone
New mics aren’t scarce but few are quite as interesting looking as Logitec’s LIC-WMREC03P (for Sony Walkmans) and LIC-iREC03P (for iPods).
The speaker crossing is apparently the XY technique of placing two mics together pointing in different directions, giving excellent field separation while eliminating phase problems.
The speakers have a frequency response of 20Hz to 16kHz, 3.5mm and USB inputs and a pair of wind socks for al fresco recording. They will be out in Japan in January and will cost about $84.
